Chosen
out of the Fall/Winter 2012 Menswear shows I came to a favourite:
Burberry Prorsum. I simply adore the collection! The colours, the
tailoring, the accessories, the fabric: it's all perfect. The show
was called 'Gentlemen' and – oh yeah – gentlemen it was!
Fall/Winter 2012 will obviously be the Season of the Suit, according to the big runway shows. I love this fact, beacause a good suit or a well tailored blazer stands for security in a man's closet.
Prorsum's
collection was filled with warm detailed colours as bordeaux, emerald
and oker, which gave the whole look a rich, yet fresh feeling.
Jackets were cleaved to the body, legs were strongly tapered,
sweaters fitted with amazing floppy necks and the layering was
refreshing. I really like the suites combined with wide necked
bombards over it. It is the perfect clash of Military
Man meets City
Dandy Boy. It
all divines panache with lots of elan; it's flair and sophistication
with a bit of naughtiness on the side.

Not
to forget and definitely
one of the highlights of the collection were the accessories. Damn,
they're lovely. Please, let it be rainy, because I want to work those
umbrella's. The studded leather and colourful gloves are in a
fabulous contrast with the clothing and the multicolour suede
clutches are divine.

Christopher
Bailey did it again. He makes me want to have it all. The bastard.
Praise it for Burberry Prorsum's talented designer!
